Growing a Brand with Green Heart

We’ve been lucky to work with Dave Woolmer of Green Heart Horticultural Services for a while now. What started with a simple request for a vehicle livery, business cards and neighbour cards has grown into something much more — the development of a full brand style to carry Green Heart forward, and an ongoing creative partnership.

Dave already had a logo in place when he first came to us. He liked the designs we created to support it, and having seen first-hand the impact of our own consistent marketing (yes, those colourful envelopes land on his desk too!), he recognised the value of applying the same discipline to his own business, he's a switched on entrepreneur... also a member of the Entrepreneurs Circle!

That’s where the idea of a brand guide came in. A simple, practical document that gives Green Heart a clear visual language — fonts, colours, layout rules and examples — so that every piece of communication, large or small, printed or digital, carries the same authority. Whether it’s planting suggestions, lead magnets, short documents or future promotions, everything will look like it belongs to Green Heart and be instantly recognisable to clients and potential customers alike.

In Dave’s own words: “It’s definitely not to replace you at all — can’t really envision myself using another designer for significant pieces of work now. It’s to make sure I can keep all small documents we send consistent. I really want to scale the Green Heart brand over the next 12–18 months and a proper brand style will help me satisfy my somewhat obsessive attention to detail, by giving me something to judge every single piece of printed and electronic media against, so it’s congruent with the brand.”

That’s exactly what a brand guide is for: giving a business the tools to stay consistent while it grows. We’re delighted to see Dave and Green Heart investing in that future, and we’re proud to play a part in shaping it.
