EC Convention 2025
This week I spent two days in Birmingham at the Entrepreneurs Circle 2025 Convention – and what an event it was. The whole thing was built around superheroes, superpowers, and that shared desire we all have: to deliver real value and create achievable growth. From the very first session, the energy in the room was electric – driven by Nigel Botterill and with great Captain Quick Win sessions from Cameron Botterill, alongside an incredible line-up of speakers, such as Marcus Sheridan, who each brought something fresh, practical, and inspiring to the stage.
And it wasn’t just what happened on stage. The support, friendship and fun from the entire EC team made the event what it was. Matt D’Butler, Michelle Squire, Jessica Hinckesman, Michael Mooney… the list goes on – you all helped make the convention feel like something truly special.
Our Portsmouth Group turned out in force too, and the buzz in the expo hall, bars and restaurants was just brilliant. The idea swapping, the encouragement and support, the humour – it all reminded me why this community is so powerful. Congratulations as well to Dan Swatton of Deans, who scooped Best Family Business – thoroughly deserved!
On a personal level, it was a joy to catch up with so many friends, contacts, and clients over those two days. A quick handshake here, a hug there, and some shared laughter with Jamie Morgan, James Twigger, Nathan Moss, Stephen Lloyd, Ian Frost, Mark Reynolds and many more. These little moments of face-to-face connection matter just as much as the big keynote sessions in these days of digital communication.
And finally, a big shout out to Superdesignman himself – Andrew Watts. The graphics and visuals that lit up the whole convention were nothing short of spectacular. They gave the event its superhero heartbeat. Well done champ. KAPOW! Roll on 2026!
