I’ve known Steve since 2017 when I first began orchestrating First Friday Network meetings in Rochdale through my company, Carter Collins & Myer. His advice and marketing materials were indispensable in getting us off the ground swiftly and with a polished presence.
The First Friday concept has been a game-changer for us. As an accountant, cold calling prospects usually results in them tuning out after “hello.” But invite them to a free networking event, and suddenly, they’re all ears and ready to chat. Offering something for nothing works wonders! After a couple of meetings, they start to trust me, and I become the go-to when someone asks: “know any good accountants?” It’s been one of the most effective client acquisition methods we use.
