Breathing new life into an established brand

After many years operating under the same brand identity, 1A Acclaim approached us with a request to update their brand. They recognised it was time to modernise their image to stay relevant in an ever-evolving market. With decades of experience working across a broad range of service sectors, we instinctively understood how to achieve this transformation.

We initially spent time discussing the company’s history, values, and aspirations for the future. These early conversations are vital, they allow us to get to the heart of what makes a brand tick, and lay the foundations for strong, strategic creative work. Drawing on our experience, we developed ideas that respected their past while clearly introducing a bold new future.

Our initial presentation of the new logo subtly formed a figure ‘1’, symbolising the company's experience and their aspiration to be the best in the market. Justin, our client, wasn’t quite sure at first, but through a little refinement, and a few small tweaks to the font and colours, the design grew on him. The final result has since received glowing feedback and really resonates with their audience.

As always, the logo and visual identity development was just one part of the process. We also produced a detailed brand guide, covering everything from logo usage to colour palettes and typography. This ensures the brand is consistently applied across all materials — both digital and print — making implementation much easier.

Here’s what Julian had to say: "I asked Steve to take a look at refreshing my company’s identity, we had been using the current one for many years and it was time to bring it up to date. Steve’s first visuals were great but I wasn’t sure about the logo… he had used the name to create a figure 1 in some of the branding and I wasn’t sure it worked.
