Brand Building Blocks

Over the years we’ve had the privilege of creating brands of all shapes and sizes — from fully developed, multi-channel identities through to something much simpler, yet no less important: the first building blocks of a brand.

Quite often, a client will come to us at the very beginning of their journey. They don’t necessarily need the full suite of marketing collateral straight away — what they do need is a distinctive logo and a clear, concise guide to set the tone for everything that follows.

That’s where our basic build brand projects come in. A strong logo... a defined colour palette... a set of typefaces... and a few straightforward rules on how these should be applied. It might sound simple, but it’s this foundation that allows a business to grow with confidence, knowing their brand has consistency and credibility from day one.

We’ve created many of these starter brand guides, and clients always appreciate the clarity they bring. It’s a structure they can apply themselves — to a website, to social media, to their printed materials — without needing to worry about whether it “looks right.” Because the groundwork has been done.

For us, it’s rewarding to see these brands develop. Some remain happily self-managed, while others return to us later in their business journey to expand and refine as their company evolves. In both cases, it all begins with that first logo and the assurance of a clear visual identity.
