Seven Weeks. One Deadline. One Chance To Get It Right.

When trust leads to opportunity

Some of our favourite projects don't start with a sales pitch. They start with trust!

This project came to us through our good friend and long-standing client Shosannah at Larsen Media, who had been appointed to project manage the launch of a brand-new wellness company called InnerCode. Having worked with us before, she knew the importance of having a creative team that could not only produce high-quality work, but also deliver when the pressure was on. She trusted us to look after her client, while acting as the bridge between ourselves and the InnerCode team throughout the project.

That level of trust is something we never take for granted.

With just seven weeks before the launch event at Cowdray Polo Club, there wasn't time for delays, uncertainty or endless revisions. Everything needed to come together perfectly, and it all needed to happen at the same time.

Launching a business is about much more than good design

The objective wasn't simply to produce a few exhibition graphics. InnerCode needed to arrive looking like an established premium brand from day one. Visitors would experience the brand in many different ways. They would see the gazebo before speaking to anyone. They would handle the packaging, take away leaflets and business cards, receive promotional merchandise and, after the event, visit the website to place an order. Every one of those touchpoints needed to feel like they belonged together. So rather than working on individual pieces of design, we focused on building one complete and consistent customer experience.

A complete brand rollout against the clock

Working from the existing brand identity, we refined and strengthened the visual style before rolling it consistently across every aspect of the business.

Over the following weeks we delivered:

  • Brand identity refinement and artwork development
  • Premium product packaging ready for manufacture
  • A complete exhibition presence including gazebo, flags, table runners and display graphics
  • Business cards, promotional literature and printed marketing material
  • Promotional merchandise including branded water bottles and clothing
  • A brand-new WordPress website with a fully functioning WooCommerce online shop

Every element had its own production schedule, supplier deadlines and approval process.

Packaging had to be signed off while exhibition graphics were still being created. Print deadlines couldn't move, and neither could the event. Careful planning and constant communication became just as important as the design work itself.

Experience makes the difference when the deadline won't move

People often think they employ a design agency to make things look good. In reality, they're investing in experience. Experience means understanding which jobs can run in parallel, anticipating production lead times, managing suppliers, spotting problems before they happen and keeping dozens of moving parts heading towards one immovable deadline. When you've spent decades delivering branding, print, packaging and websites, you learn that success isn't about working harder. It's about knowing what needs to happen next. That's exactly what this project demanded.

Becoming part of the team

One of the most rewarding aspects of the project was the relationship that developed as everything came together. During the build, Chloe and Chad from InnerCode sent us this message when we presented the Brand Guide:

"Absolutely amazing Steve. I can see the time and effort that's gone into this and loving all the practical images we are building up. Thank you so much. I know you and Andy are putting in the time and it's great to have you on the team!"

Just before the event they added:

"It really has been an amazing effort from you all. Can't thank you enough. A fantastic turn around."

Comments like these mean a huge amount because they tell us we became more than an external supplier. We became part of their launch team.

More than an event

The Cowdray Polo launch may have been the immediate deadline, but it was never the final destination. By the time the event opened, InnerCode had far more than an exhibition stand. They had premium packaging entering production, a professional eCommerce website ready to take orders, consistent marketing materials, branded merchandise and a visual identity capable of supporting the business as it continues to grow. For us, that's what successful branding looks like. Not just creating attractive design, but helping a business launch with confidence, consistency and everything it needs to make the right first impression.
