Managed to get my picture with the Mayor at the opening of the exhibition – I was actually meant to be in the line up as the chairman of the Chichester branch of the South Coast Design Forum! A good first try and I hope it will become an annual event that everyone looks forward to and attends.

I visited Bishop Luffa school on Monday 2nd November to talk to the students about branding their YE company. I have been lucky enough to talk to the students for the last four years and I also sit on the judging panel for their end of year show, I am always impressed by their level of achievement by the end of the year.
The other guest speakers for the afternoon were Rob Shaw from Jack Wills’, an ex-student, who shared his experience with the students in setting up a business and John Bugeja from Rolls Royce who gave the students a presentation about “Excellence in Business”.
The aim of the session was for Sixth Form students to have a better understanding of the world of business; in particular the start up process. Students from the school have been taking part in the Young Enterprise scheme for over 10 years and this year they have more than 40 students participating in this business experience. During the year students have to set up a business and experience profit and loss in a real company.
